Having been in the scrap business for over fifty years, collecting is a sort of obsession with owners Bernie and Mary Smits, who’ve accumulated an abundance of collectibles over the years. Selling antiques started almost by accident for them. While using vintage bicycles that came into the salvage yard as lawn decorations, customers would come up and  ask if they could buy them for the same purpose and that’s how Pedal Pushers was born.

Pedal Pushers was then opened in Denmark, Wisconsin and after being run out of a small house for several years the business expanded by building a 7,000 square feet purposed built structure to house all the antiques they have to offer.
